I've been thinking about how so many stories could've skipped the conflict if they just talk it out. But then I've also realized there are also ones where talking "is their power." Naruto fans like to joke about how his true power is "talk no jutsu." Maybe the settings where talk no jutsu is effective is stealing the "talking power" of all the other stories.
